Read the estimate before counting days

Start with the service’s own definition of transit time. It may begin at acceptance rather than label purchase, and it may count working days rather than calendar days. A late drop-off can miss the day’s dispatch even if the shop or locker is still open. Collection windows and processing cut-offs are different things.

Check weekends and public holidays at both origin and destination. International estimates may be subject to customs clearance, and remote locations can have different delivery schedules. We do not publish a universal transit-time table because route, date and product change the answer. Use the current official estimate for your booking and leave a margin if the arrival matters.

01Label created or shipment information received

The carrier has shipment data, but may not yet have the physical parcel. Keep your collection or drop-off evidence. If no acceptance appears, confirm handover with the booking provider.

02Accepted, collected or received at facility

A scan indicates a physical event in the network. Check its time and location, but do not assume every subsequent transfer will generate an immediate public update.

03In transit or departed facility

The parcel is progressing between network points. Long transport legs, consolidated shipments and partner handovers can produce a quiet interval without proving that the parcel is lost.

04Clearance event or delivery exception

Read the detailed reason. Missing documents, an address issue, weather or a payment requirement call for different actions. Verify any request through the carrier’s official site.

05Out for delivery or delivered

Out for delivery is an operational status, not an unconditional promise. For a delivered scan, check the authorised delivery location and available proof before reporting a discrepancy.

Allow for network handovers

An international parcel may travel with one operator and be delivered by another. Public tracking can update at different times across those systems, and a local reference may be issued. Use the originating carrier’s official information to identify the destination partner rather than trusting a search advertisement or unsolicited message.

Scan timestamps can also reflect different time zones or delayed data publication. Read the sequence of events as a whole. A repeated facility name or an apparently backward timestamp does not, by itself, establish a routing error. If the details remain inconsistent, ask the provider to interpret them.

A missing update is a reason to check the evidence, not a reason to invent a location.

Respond to the actual exception

For an address problem, confirm the full address with the recipient and ask which changes are permitted. A redirection may be restricted for security or service reasons. For customs, provide the requested information through an official channel and make sure it agrees with the original declaration. Do not submit a different value merely to speed release.

If a delivery attempt failed, follow the operator’s instructions for redelivery or collection. Check identification requirements and the holding deadline. A missed collection can lead to a return, with additional charges depending on the contract. The sender and recipient should agree who will take the next step.

Escalate with a useful record

Contact the party that sold the shipment when its enquiry criteria are met, or sooner if an explicit action request appears. If a broker sold the service, it may need to open the investigation. Provide the booking reference, tracking number, acceptance evidence, packed description, recipient details and a concise timeline. Use a secure support channel for personal information.

Do not wait indefinitely for a status change if a claim or enquiry deadline is approaching. Time limits vary by service, event and jurisdiction. Check the contract early and preserve the documents that support your account. This website cannot locate parcels, change deliveries or lodge claims.

Treat payment messages cautiously

A real shipment can coincide with a fraudulent text. Do not use an unexpected message as proof that a charge is valid. Open the official carrier site independently, enter the reference there and verify any payment or document request. Never disclose passwords or payment credentials to this website.

Before your next dispatch, reduce avoidable uncertainty: make the label readable, complete the document checks and keep proof of acceptance. If you need to organise a question, our local message tool can prepare a draft without sending it.
